The Annual Jack the Ripper – Crime Conference

Our next annual Crime Conference weekend is LIVERPOOL, September 2017. Liverpool has been chosen as the venue for the 2017 conference. It is one of Britain’s most historic cities and has links with many true crime cases. A full weekend of expert talks and discussions, including lunch, dinner, guided tours and memoribillia.

“Our Crime Conferences are organised by true crime enthusiasts with a passion for the subject”

About the conference

introThe annual Jack the Ripper crime conference was set up in 2012 by true crime enthusiasts and researchers to focus on some of the most intriquing and fascinating crime cases in the world. It is organised by H Division true crime club –

We hold our events in different regional UK cities – sometimes  exploring the cases and themes of that region. Each conference has a Jack the Ripper theme but we also explore other true crime cases aswell as the Whitechapel murders of 1888. This gives a welcome balance to the weekend and encourages a wide variety of true enthusiasts and historians to get involved.

The events are tasteful and respectful to families of those effected by horrific crimes. There will be a focus on crimes with an element of mystery or particular interest. We work with leading true crime experts and respected UK academics to promote the academic theme of the conferences.

The conferences will also serve a social purpose. They are a chance to meet with like minded individuals with a fascination for true crime and discuss interests, share resources and research and learn about other cases that you may be unfamiliar with. We would encourage anyone with an interest in crime/history or social studies to join us for this unique weekend.
